Position Title: Fund Accountant

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Overview:

Primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of the firm’s accounting, reporting and tax processes. Excellent administration and project management skills are required. Competitive salary with potential bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare monthly financial information and statements, including investment valuation, master/feeder fund allocations and determination of NAV, and investor statements
  • Maintain internal accounting system
  • Review reconciliations of the funds’ cash and positions to outside sources
  • Serve as liaison between clients and prime brokers, counterparties and fund administrators
  • Supervise the cash management process
  • Coordinate with outside legal, tax and audit professionals
  • Prepare and review annual GAAP financial statements. Facilitate timely and efficient audit completion
  • Manage and maintain tax reporting. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and K-1's
  • Research and draw conclusions on complex accounting issues
  • Analyze funds’ performance on a daily and monthly basis
  • Manage special projects
  • Possess knowledge of various products including equities, options, futures, foreign exchange, commodities, and swaps
  • Ability to review OTC confirmations

Qualifications:

  • Public accounting experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Team player

Position Title: Operations Specialist

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Overview:

Gladius is seeking an Operations Specialist focused on Trade Support.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface daily with fund administrator, prime brokers, swap counterparties and trading desks
  • Perform daily cash and position reconciliation of prime broker, custody, counterparty and bank accounts
  • Perform internal systems reconciliations of cash, positions and transactions
  • Manage calculation of collateral requirements for OTC and listed securities
  • Reconcile valuations and collateral posted for OTC and listed transactions
  • Provide trade desk requests support for transactions and positions including stock borrows
  • Monitor corporate action and proxy tracking and processing
  • Ability to understand and support a wide variety of listed and OTC global instruments including options, futures, equities, foreign exchange and swaps
  • Recognize and troubleshoot P&L and accounting issues
  • Perform responsibilities with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in a high pressure environment
  • Communicate and liaise with various internal and external groups with professionalism and efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Listed and OTC product experience
  • Strong competence with Microsoft Office suite
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Team Player
  • Self Starter
